Still re-reading chapter 12 over and over again, Concentrating on this: “You must first have the knowledge of your power; the courage to dare, the faith to do” Reminds me of this old Cherokee story:
One evening an old Cherokee told his grandson about a battle that goes on inside people. He said, “My son, the battle is between 2 “wolves” inside us all.
One is Evil. It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.
The other is Good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith.”
The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather: “Which wolf wins?”
The old Cherokee simply replied, “The one you feed.”
It continues to remind me to feed the good wolf, feed the good wolf. In fact just the words “feed the good wolf” bring all the good qualities to mind. Joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith. Faith and Love the most important: The Law of love, the law of attraction. Beginning to create the tools, the brain cells to receive the new information of comprehending the unlimited powers which are at our disposal if we cooperate with this law of love.
Sitting in silence and in deep thought trying to get in touch with the subconscious. It’s challenging sometimes, catching my self trying to force the issue. The paragraph 12-28 has left it’s place in the lesson and has become notes I carry around and try to concentrate on during the sit.
Inductive thought and new ideas: We should carefully consider every fact which is brought to our attention and then we can ascertain the law on which it is based. Every phenomenon is the result of an accurate definite Cause and the Cause is an immutable Law whether it is put into operation consciously or Unconsciously. It will be found that the creative power of thought will explain every possible condition or experience whether physical mental or spiritual.
Happiness & Harmony: What we really desire, ah but we cannot be happy unless we have a sufficient supply of Health Strength, Congenial friends and a pleasant environment, which would indeed be Harmonious!
I suspected going into this mkmma course that the sits would be important and sure enough, they are vital!
